HEYQUANT / DOCUMENTATION

Authentication & connections

Configure the service URL, Bearer key and connection lifecycle.

Create a client

HeyQuantClient(base_url, api_key=None, timeout=30.0) creates a synchronous HTTP client. base_url is required and trailing slashes are removed. The default timeout setting is 30 seconds.

A nonempty api_key adds Authorization: Bearer …. Requests accept JSON by default. Omitting the key only omits that header; it does not imply anonymous service access.

Environment variables

The example code reads these variables. The SDK does not read them automatically.

Variable Purpose
HEYQUANT_BASE_URL Service URL you are authorized to use
HEYQUANT_API_KEY Service access key

Close connections

Prefer with HeyQuantClient(...) as client: to close connections on exit. When creating a client manually, call client.close() when finished.

import os
from heyquant import HeyQuantClient

with HeyQuantClient(
    base_url=os.environ["HEYQUANT_BASE_URL"],
    api_key=os.environ["HEYQUANT_API_KEY"],
) as client:
    print(client.list_datasets())
